In Our Front Garden

We are always admired the Sturt Desert Pea in the wild and we decided to try and grow one ourselves. During the Summer months we almost gave up on it but the last month or so the bush has thrived. To date we have had 2 flowers and lots more are coming.

All we hope now is the the cold weather doesn't set the growing back.

C'ya and thanks for looking

Breakfast at Henley Beach

A nice way to start the day with breakfast at Evida Cafe at Henly Beach. A favorite breakfast venue of ours.

This morning was cool and overcast and as usual plenty of Sunday strollers out for their morning stroll along the beach.

C'ya for now,

Walk In The park

While I went to visit the Sewing Shop in Angaston, Mick. Missie & Ruby took a stroll through the park. It was lovely to see a green park with the drought still in full flight.

Someone pulled the plug.

Today while in the city we decided to take a stroll along the once beautiful Torrens River to see the devastation first hand cause by the accidental opening of the weir. Boy it was heartbreaking to see and not to mention a bit on the nose.

Pop Eye is high and dry and sadly sitting on the stinking mud.

The paddle boats were still a colorful sight to see even though they now find themselves in the yuck and stench too.

The only good to come out of it is that the Torrens is getting one good clean out. We saw supermarket trolleys, chairs, park benches, rubbish bins and motor scooter and numerous other items in the mud and slush.

We weren't the only sightseers out for a look this morning but all I can say is please let it rain and rain good soon as it certainly isn't a pretty sight.

Weekend Escape

Ardrossan on York Peninsular was our weekend getaway destination. Approx an 1 and a half hours drive from home making it an ideal weekend escape.

Black Point would have to be one of South Australia's best kept secret with a lovely swimming beach.

The beach is almost on your front door step and it also allows for boats to be anchored right out the front.

They Love It.

Our 2 Little dogs love the new gates we have. We converted the 2 swinging gates into 1 sliding gate and now we can shut it easily. Missie and Ruby love every opportunity to get out the front to see what is happening.
